There Is Nothing to Lose When You Do Things This

We have started many things that we want to continue every single day, and we genuinely think this makes our life better if things workout as we intended, But down the lane after a few days or months, we tend to lose interest or leave what we are doing because of ourselves. We abandon our projects, drafts, idea and everything because of our fear or insecurity call it whatever.

Why I call it fear?

We certainly start something with our intuition, something we thought might be wonderful, something we start it to see where it goes. And then ‘fear’ attaches to it. What if we fail? What if things do not workout the way we wanted?, Is it worth the time or can I do something that is important to my career? Will this project sufficient enough to get hired?, and so many questions.

This is where our intuition becomes fear. We were not in the same mindset as we started, The thing that we started out of nowhere now becomes life line project, If we do this project properly, we might actually make an impact to my career. If I write a properly researched essay like a journalist essay, we might make some good amount of views or follower.

We attach something larger than life aspiration to the project or things that we don’t even give birth yet. And this adds pressure to do it properly and becomes exhausting to us. And sooner or later we might think like this is a big project I cannot be able to do stuff, may be I’m not good enough, I not yet learnt this stuff, or we overthink it and decide it was not that good enough.

I do this all the time,

What I think would be the best way to not lose anything?

See I love writing, but I’m not a professional writer, And that’s ok. I'm gonna write anyway because this is ‘fun’. And every reads and every views that comes for this article would be exciting to me. My target it not 1k views in a month, My goal is to write what i want to say. And I have heard it many times but i forget where it came from “You can’t stop someone who’s doing something for fun” because there is nothing to lose here.

I write previously and I take it very serious that time. And I set a goal to write a mini-essay or stories in Medium for 30-days and man I was exhausted, After 30 days I have zero motivation to write. But I love writing, I learnt a lot in those time period.

I might write till now, if I write those days for fun. My idea that time was ‘I need to say something helpful to the readers or else what’s the point of reading my article’, But I was wrong, I mean the process of writing itself means you have something to say that worth reading, we don’t need any extra content or than that.

This is completely my point of view, so if you are someone who’s great at writing and have a different philosophy towards writing and I appreciate that and I want to know more about it. This is the crappy advice I give myself write better and without friction. I'm going do things for fun, and I’m going do it like there is nothing to lose if I fail.

But I do have questions, which I might explore further. The questions were, How this going to improve my craft? I see writing as an art, and I want to get better at this, If I do something that is always fun to me means, then When will I get serious in doing this craft?

Man I have questions.
